Chris Schottmüller, Head of Training at ARKU, emphasized the long-standing partnership with the forestry office and the importance of this project for environmental protection: "ARKU had already successfully rehabilitated areas in previous years. This year, we concentrated on one of the last remaining affected areas in the Revier Rebland near Neuweier near Baden-Baden." The dedicated participants removed a total of around 600 plastic tubes from a 1500 square meter area, some of which was steep. This was done under the expert and voluntary guidance of outdoor trainer Christoph Maretzek from "TREKK'N Guide". He has been supporting the forestry office with forest cleaning for several years now. Thanks to clear guidance and needs-based scheduling, the team was even able to remove more tubes than planned.
The unexpectedly dry weather made the work much easier and enabled rapid progress. At the end of the morning, there was a well-earned snack for refreshment. Christoph Maretzek praised the group for their effective teamwork: "You have a really great team. The trainees and students in particular worked really well together."
