Tremendous aid for Ukraine refugees

Many people from the Ukraine have unfortunately lost their homes in recent days and are currently fleeing the country. Thankfully, Poland is taking in a particularly large number of these refugees. Our trainee, Dominik Golenia has Polish roots himself. He has been reading touching reports about the situation in his home country from his former schoolmates throughout the last weeks. Without hesitation, he organized a donation campaign among ARKU employees in collaboration with his training supervisor Chris Schottmüller and upper management.

The response was enormous. A total of 5 tons in the form of clothing, food, medicine, and hygiene products were donated. A very large part of these donations came from ARKU staff, their relatives and friends. The wooden boxes and pallets needed to pack all these supplies were donated by the company Holzhandel Stefan GmbH. The ARKU management also participated with a monetary donation and covered the costs of transporting the 30 pallets of supplies.

The supplies were delivered to Poland at the beginning of this week. The local volunteer fire brigade - including former school colleagues of Mr. Golenia - is now organising the further distribution.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for their generous donations and support of this campaign. We would especially like to thank Mr. Golenia for his commitment and his initiative in bringing this donation campaign to life!
