Numerous new companies set up business at the massive Jelcz premises, the former commercial vehicle manufacturer, near the city of Wroclaw. This includes the IM Group with its subsidiary Instytut Mechaniki. This sheet metal working company has 500 employees and manufactures products such as assemblies and frames, primarily for the rail industry.
The company is growing and the production has frequently reached its capacity limits. That is why Instytut Mechaniki turned to ARKU. “We were looking for a leveling solution at the time,” reports the Production Coordinator, Krzysztof Strzelecki.
During a visit to Baden-Baden, Strzelecki and his colleague, Piotr Niżyński, the Head of Maintenance, also discovered the EdgeBreaker® for deburring. As a result, Instytut Mechaniki also ordered an EdgeBreaker® 4000 deburring machine in addition to the FlatMaster® 55 leveler. This machine has done such a good job that Instytut Mechaniki then went on to order a second EdgeBreaker® two years later.
“The cooperation developed very well right from the outset,” reports Niżyński. Raphael Goldbach is responsible for ARKU Sales in Poland and also assists with service. Such as finding the right parts, for example. “That is the difference to other manufacturers: Their sales rep disappears once he has sold the machine,” notes Niżyński and explains: “At ARKU, we received good support.”
