WIT-METAL, Poland

Sieradz, Poland - WIT-METAL supplies high-quality parts for cranes, construction machinery and industrial plants. Since Jan Matusiak founded the company in Poland almost 40 years ago, it has grown continuously and is now managed by his son Witold.

WIT-METAL improves production quality and sustainability with ARKU deburring machines

One of WIT-METAL's main focuses is on thick materials. 70% of the metal produced has a thickness of 8 up to 35 mm. Most of the end products are used outdoors, which places high demands on the surface. Other parts and assemblies made from Sieradz are used in production machines, semi-trailers, cranes or mining machines that are used in enclosed spaces. WIT-METAL was confronted with the increasing demands of its customers. It was necessary to achieve greater flatness of the sheet metal and sheet metal parts. They also expected the parts to be free of dirt, scale or slag and for the edges to have a small radius rounding.

WIT-METAL invested in two ARKU part levelers and a deburring machine. With these systems, the company is also supporting the trend towards greater sustainability. “One way to increase the environmental friendliness of our heavy industry is to extend the life cycle of products,” explains the owner. For steel products that are painted, the quality of the surface and the rounding of the edges are particularly important. If the coating adheres better, the corrosion process starts later and more slowly. This extends the service life of the products accordingly. By using ARKU machines, WIT-METAL has been able to increase its production capacity and improve the quality of its parts. The simple operation of the machines also helps to combat the shortage of skilled workers.
